October 2009 - On August 28, 2009, Massaro Corporation completed the 12-story office build-out for the EQT corporate headquarters, located at 625 Liberty Avenue. This five phase, 265,000 sf, fast-track project began in February and involved critical milestone completion dates for each phase. In order to meet the owner’s pre-determined move-in dates; an aggressive schedule outlining each floor’s scope of work was created and implemented daily. The Massaro team, together with our subcontractors, worked second and third shifts throughout the project to meet the schedule requirements.

Some additional project challenges included working in the tight urban environment of downtown Pittsburgh, and working in an occupied building. Noise levels were kept to a minimum as to not interfere with the other tenants in the building. All major deliveries to the building were coordinated daily after 7:00 pm and on the weekends.

The overall scope of work for this high-end office build-out included executive suites, a board of directors conference center, stairs with glass balustrades, a roof top patio/garden, employee break rooms and numerous tele/data conference and specialty training & research development rooms. Massaro’s project team for EQT consisted of Andy Rock, Carl Tipton, Mark Becker, Jeremy Tartt, Adam DiMenno and Kevin Nestor.
