Community Involvement

March 2009 – On Thursday, March 12, ten Massaro employees donated their time to the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank for a “Day of Caring”. This is the fifth Day of Caring Massaro employees have volunteered for in the past year. Our staff was extremely impressed with the structure and organization of the Food Bank. After it was all said and done, Massaro Corporation employees packaged 16,465 pounds of groceries. Massaro employees were honored to provide such a needed service for the Pittsburgh community. They hope to return to the Food Bank in the next few months.

On Friday, March 13, nine Massaro employees attended the Soul Gala- Celebrating Hill House’s 45th Anniversary and the Beacon of Hope Awards. Massaro Corporation is pleased to have a growing relationship with Hill House as a Silver Sponsor for the evening. Additionally, we are the general contractor for Hill House Kaufmann Auditorium’s future renovations. Massaro employees will be going to Hill House Children’s Center for a day of painting and our sixth “Day of Caring” Monday, March 30. “Serving the communities in which we work” is a company value and Massaro employees are thankful for all the opportunities to do so.
