Janaury 2009 - In December 2008, Jason Sigal, Zack Walters and Brian Frye became LEED certified professionals. As the demand for sustainable buildings increases so too does the demand for qualified LEED accredited professionals and builders. At Massaro, we understand the importance of building green, and we encourage all of our employees to become certified.

Under the guidance and tutelage of Mike Tarle, director of design/build services, these three enthusiastic men spent their personal time preparing for the two hour exam. The men attended educational seminars hosted by the Green Building Alliance (GBA), utilized online resources, study guides and practice tests in order to learn about sustainable practices.

Jason Sigal was an intern at Massaro, and joined the estimating staff full-time after graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Business Management in 2006.

Zack Walters was also an intern at Massaro, and joined the company as a design/build project engineer after graduating from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Architectural Studies in 2008.

Brian Frye has been in the construction industry since 1986 and joined Massaro in 2005. Due to his construction knowledge and experience, he was quickly promoted to project manager in 2006. Brian graduated from Penn State in 1990 with a BS degree in Administration of Justice, and then furthered his education by obtaining a BS degree in Engineering Technology from Oklahoma University.

Congratulations to Jason, Zack and Brian!
