Stevan Mracna Receives New LEED Designation

Stevan Mracna, LEED GA

Stevan Mracna, LEED GA

August 2010 – Congratulations to Stevan Mracna for being the first Massaro employee to pass the LEED Green Associate Exam or LEED GA. As part of the new LEED 2009 rating system, the credentialing system for the USGBC has expanded for LEED accredited professionals. What was before one designation (LEED AP) has now changed to include three separate tiers. Stevan Mracna received Tier I, which is the “LEED Green Associate”. The LEED GA designation is an assurance that the LEED GA has basic knowledge of all LEED requirements. Unlike the LEED AP exam, the LEED Green Associates exam does not cover one particular area (such as LEED EB O&M) but covers an overall basic knowledge of LEED and sustainability. This credential is also required before pursuing the LEED AP with specialty designation.
