Design/Build is a project delivery method where the Owner contracts directly with Massaro to provide both the design and construction of a project. This project delivery method places greater risk on the Design/Builder, as this entity is ultimately responsible for the success or failure of the project. The advantages to using Design/Build as your project delivery method include:

  • Faster design and construction
  • One point of contact
  • Lower costs (both design and construction)

Although there is only one point of contact for the Owner, the Design/Builder still procures competitive bids on the project, all shared with the Owner and Architect on an open book basis.

Massaro has extensive Design/Build experience that includes over thirty (30) projects. We have an in-house Architect who works closely with the Design/Build Team’s Architect to effectively manage the design, estimating, and construction process. In addition, our in-house Architect has successfully received his Certificate of Mastery in Design/Build from the DBIA.
