REPORTS TO: Operations Manager
POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for overall project planning and scheduling, resource allocation, project accounting, and control, while providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The construction project manager responsibilities span a broad spectrum, covering all the areas of project management.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Project organization and administration; responsible for all engineering, accounting, cost control, quality assurance, and project closeout on assigned projects.
- To know the plans, specifications, estimate, cost reports and the contract for all assigned projects.
- Determine the overall construction schedule and preparation of the detailed CPM schedule.
- Supervise all subcontract work: procurement, coordination, performance, and final payments.
- Establish and maintain satisfactory relations with the Owner and Architect: obtain approvals, change orders, extra work orders, requisitions and acceptance of work.
- Review and approve all requisitions, purchase orders, and cost codes to exercise control over all expenditures.
- Review subcontractor’s field supervisory personnel and forces for adequacy to meet schedule requirements and ensure subcontractor compliance.
- Hold weekly meetings with subcontractors, Owner and Architect on all assigned jobs.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Experience: BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree, with at least 2 – 5 years of related experience.
Certifications/Licensure : Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
Computer Skills: Must possess proficiency with computers
Physical Demands/Work Environment: Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
Travel: 25% including some overnight travel or extended stays
